We hope you have had a lovely spring and are enjoying the incredibly warm weather!

We have been busy and want to share our students’ wonderful art. First we have work from our first spring class at the Stamp Pad in Zoar, Ohio.

And another class on April 26, 2013.

Our two classes in May provided us these treasures! We were in Stow at the Senior Center in cooperation with Stow Parks and Recreation.

And back at the Stamp Pad in Zoar.

At our Zentangle 2 class in Zoar, Sandy returned to us and shared some of the things she’s been working on. WOW!

It looks like a case of the student surpassing the teacher! Fantastic!

Spring is finally here!

We recently returned from a fantastic weekend retreat involving regional CZT’s. We traveled to the Wooded Glen Retreat Center in Henryville, Indiana. We were delighted to work among some of the top CZT professionals in the midwest.

Angie Gamble and Lesley Scott-Gillilan hosted the inspiring event and provided us with challenging and enjoyable Zentangle activities for two full days. Thanks to them both for a highly meaningful time.

Cris Letourneau shared with us her new book, “Made in the Shade,” a wonderful instructional workbook for practicing shading. Bonnie Browning treated us to a preview of her soon to be released book on incorporating Zentangle-like designs into quilting. The connection between quilting and Zentangle was an amazing revelation to us. Carole Ohl and Peg Farmer from Dayton shared new Zentangle techniques with us, and the other highly talented and generous CZT’s shared ideas with us.

Now armed with new ideas and tangling techniques in our repartee, we are eager to begin our instructional program for the 2013 season. We hope you can join us at one of the classes below, or contact us for private lessons or a home party.

We’re dancing with joy to celebrate our new class:

As you know, Zentangle is a form of art that allows your creativity to emerge even if you feel you cannot draw a stick figure to save your life! Zentangle is the act of drawing repetitive lines in random, yet artistic patterns. It is both relaxing and entertaining and has been called “Artistic Meditation.” Participants will learn at least eight line patterns to use in creating two mini works of personal art.

February already??? Valentine’s Day has come and gone… Where does the time go?

We have been so busy in the past few months! In October we spent a week in Florida at Disney and Universal Parks with our daughter and her family. We spent the holidays in Yellowstone National Park. We took our first snowmobile ride to view this marvel.

In January we took a short trip to Flagstaff Arizona, with a side trip to the Grand Canyon. The day we visited the Grand Canyon the fog had settled in and completely covered the view!

Where is it??? The Grand Canyon has completely disappeared!

The restroom of the Bright Angel Lodge sported this facility. I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the sight that cracked me up.

And now we’re home and looking forward to teaching more Zentangle classes.

We will be teaching our beginning class at the Stamp Pad in Zoar, Ohio.

Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 12 PM to 3 PM
Friday, April 26, 2013 from 10 AM to 1 PM
Saturday, April 27 from 10 AM to 1 PM
The fee is $40, which includes the $5 materials fee.

Happy Holidays!

We are beginning our new instructional promotion. Check us out!

Host a Zentangle Party at Home

Host a party/class at your home. Invite your friends, family, book club, etc. for a fun and relaxing night of something new.

You and your guests will learn the philosophy behind the Zentangle process, understand the steps to creating this beautiful art form, and create a completed tile of your own to keep. You will also complete a small project applying your new skills.

Home party classes generally run 2 to 2.5 hours. The host provides the location for his/her guests and an optional snack following the instruction. Each guest must be able to sit comfortably at a table or with a lap desk. The number of guests is only limited by space availability.

The cost is $35 per person (price includes Starter Kit to take home). The minimum number of guests is four.

Take a private class

Enjoy a more private instruction of Zentangle. We offer private introductory classes. You will learn the philosophy behind the Zentangle process, understand the steps to creating this beautiful art form, and create a completed tile of your own to keep. You will also complete a small project applying your new skills.

The cost is $50/per person or $40 each for two

The class runs about 2 hours.

The Starter Kit and all materials are included.
